About me

I have been making fleecy cage beds for Chinchillas, Rats and other small furries since 2006 (fuzzbutt.co.uk) and I have a workshop stuffed full of fabric.  In 2021 I decided to start selling it, along with brand name quilting fabrics.  I am a magpie for brightly coloured, quirky fabrics as they make fabulous bags, and the British weather is dull and grey enough for most of the year so I like a bit of colour!

I buy old jeans and upcycle them into bags, paired with my colourful fabrics.  Denim is wonderful as it's hard wearing and even when old and ripped, it has character and texture that can be incorporated into a bag design.  And it goes with ANY fabric so is great to design with.  Follow my Fabrics Instagram or Facebook page.

When I am not glued to my sewing machine I enjoy sci-fi costuming & movies, crochet, car photography (portfolio HERE), gardening, WW2 aviation, sports cars, and all forms of motorsport. I enjoy travelling and always try to go off the beaten track. In 2012 I went Parahawking in Nepal, an unforgettable experience. I've been to the Burning Man Festival twice and in 2024 I'm going to Canada to fly on the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's Lancaster Bomber, something I saved up for 3 years to be able to afford. An hors flight in a Lancaster, marvellous!!

I am also a Star Wars and Ghostbuster costumer, my website is here.  In December 2015 I was very lucky to be able to walk the red carpet at the European Premiere of "The Force Awakens" at Leicester Square, London.  I donned my Sandtrooper armour and had the most amazing 20 minutes parading in front of the world's press and hundreds of fans.  An evening I'll never forget. Watch a video of us parading here.
